Last night, Chip dropped his third diss track on Stormzy. He went for the jugular with this track and continued to get personal, quite similar to the two tracks he dropped beforehand. Most people had assumed that Chip had moved on after Stormzy failed to respond, but this seems to be far from the case.
He has received a lot of praise for lyrical ability, which has always been a strength of his. His lyrical ability especially comes to the forefront in diss tracks, and he hasn't failed to keep up the pace as of yet.
Even though his battles with Tinie Tempah and Bugzy Malone, where responses needed, he has never sacrificed the quality of his content.A resident expressed their excitement over the release and admiration of his lyrical ability by saying "Listen to the LYRICAL TALENT FOR ME!!..chip is just on a different level."
Stormzy still has people to his defence, however, one resident even said that Stormzy has allegedly replied to Chip already on his track that was released with Ghetts called "Skengman". However, there is no confirmation of this being the case.
Whilst there has been praise towards Chip, there has also been criticism towards Stormzy. There have been questions raised as to if he will reply, and more so why he hasn't done so yet. Another resident questioned Stormzy's title of "The King of Grime" and said "It's mad how everyone is excusing Stormzy lool. Stormzy can never call himself a King after this. He avoided a clash with a guy who'd finish him."
Wiley also had comments to make on the situation, who claims that Stormzy "used" him to make himself look better. Stormzy has been absent from Social Media since early 2020 and has been quiet in regards to responses to Chip thus far. Will this be the moment for Stormzy to have his say?
