A court has heard shocking details of a girl who was allegedly raped by the youngest son of boxer legend Chris Eubank. Joseph Eubank, 27, went on trial at Lewes Crown Court in East Sussex charged with two counts of raping the 16-year-old during the incident near Brighton Pier. He denies the charges. ‍The victim claims she received a message from Eubank hours after the alleged assault saying: "Hey pup, are you ready for round two?" The court heard that the text came from an unknown number - with the victim becoming scared and blocking the number. The girl then told her mother about the alleged attack two months later and reported it to the police.

The court was told that the girl claims Eubank dragged her over a pebble beach when she was too drunk to stand up, before forcing her over the stones and raping her on July 16, 2022. The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was out celebrating a friend's birthday on the night the alleged attack took place. She had been drinking vodka with friends before they got separate when she says she was approached by a man she had never met before.

Prosecutor Beverly Cripps told the court: "She said that he had initially been friendly but had become more aggressive as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her up moving her quickly down the beach each time she fell." The prosecutor said the teenager remembered Eubank asking her age, to which she replied 16, and he said he was 26 before saying something along the lines of "let's go look at the moon."

In a video interview speaking to police, the girl recalled how she kept falling down on the stones because she was too drunk to stand up. "It was quite tight, he kept pulling me back up and I was falling on the stones. Pretty sure he kissed me, I was very confused, I didn't realise I had been dragged down to the beach bit." It was down on the beach where the girl claims he forced her down on him, before she was on her front lying on the stones. Asked what was going through her head, she told police: "I was thinking: 'how did I get into this position'? It felt like I was up at the steps a second ago. Jurors were told after Eubank walked away and she was "immediately upset and crying."

The victim told police she confided in her friend: "I said some guy took me down to the bottom of the beach and I think he raped me. I think after that I was just crying for about half an hour probably." Jurors were told there is no dispute on behalf of Eubank that he intentionally penetrated the teenager, but that the issue was of consent.' The prosecution claim that the victim was vulnerable because of her age and drunken condition. Eubank's case is she did consent and she was able to do so freely. The defendant is the youngest son of former boxer Chris Eubank Senior, 58, and the brother of professional boxer Chris Eubank Junior, 35. Eubank denies two counts of rape. The trial continues.
