In a statement released on the club's official Twitter page, it was confirmed that the three-man group have exchanged contracts after several months of discussions.
“The consortium will own, operate and develop their childhood hometown football club. While completion is subject to legislative and governance procedures, the three consortium members are excited about developing a community asset in the borough that gave them their own opportunities. They hope to take the entire community on this exciting journey with them”, the statement read.
Zaha also owns a team in his native Ivory Coast, with Espoir Club D’Abengourou having been bought alongside his brother Carin in September 2022.
On top of that Zaha is also the proud founder and owner of the Wilfried Zaha Academy an organisation that aims to inspire, train and engage as many children as possible in South London, through the love of Football!
Zaha and Stormzy are thought to have been friends for a number of years, with the latter having even attended school just a short distance from Selhurst Park.
AFC Croydon were founded in 2012 after Croydon Athletic withdrew from the Isthmian League in the 2011-12 campaign and then folded.
They finished 15th last season after losing 22 of their 38 league matches, and will look to progress under their star-studded new ownership.
