FANS CRASH SITE AND REACT TO TICKET PRICES FOR VYBZ KARTEL'S FIRST POST-PRISON CONCERT

The release of tickets for Vybz Kartel's first post-prison show has fans in a frenzy as many struggle to fathom the extreme prices. Fans took to social media to express their disbelief at the prices, with the ticket site even crashing amid all the excitement.

Whilst some fans were amused by the steep prices and made light of the situation, others felt the prices were criminal, with one X user suggesting we "send him back to prison".

Other fans also anticipated the ticket site crashing upon their release.

Another fan also speculated whether concertgoers would be getting their value for money due to Kartel's ongoing health issues and the potential effect they may have on his ability to perform.

X users even joked (or even contemplated) selling their houses in order to afford the concert.

One woman similarly got a head start on raising money for the concert, even starting a GoFundMe to raise $1,500k USD for concert tickets.

The woman, who goes by the monicker "Shadz Dadz" titled the GoFundMe account "Money mi a look a weh yu deh (Vybz Kartel Concert)".

The hopeful concertgoer claimed to be a longtime fan of Kartel, stating: "Just a long time Gaza Girl trying to get her centre stage ticket for Freedom Street!! Back to life! Fresh from prison.. shh ! Mi waa $1500 by a mawning… iykyk! Alexa, Play Vybz Kartel – Money Me A Look! OH ! I’m out!,"

So far the fan has raised $915, nearing close to her target.

Ticket prices begin at $125 USD, with the most expensive ticket package costing a whopping $10,000 USD.
