Kanye West Defends Burying Pete Davidson in Eazy Music Video

American rapper Kanye West has defended himself for burying Kim Kardashian's new boyfriend Pete Davidson in his new Eazy music video.

Ye as he is now legally called defended the animated video from his Donda 2 album saying his art was protected by freedom of speech.

In the claymation video for the song, Ye's figure pulls Davidson - who is tied up in a body bag - out of the trunk of his car where he is decapitated before being buried.

At the end of the video title cards display a message that reads: "Everyone lived happily ever after, except Skete you know who – JK he's fine".

The song also included the lyrics: "God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a**."

However, Ye defended the music video from the backlash on Instagram posting a photo of a burning church to which he captioned: "Art is therapy just like this view. Art is protected as freedom of speech. Art inspires and simplifies the world".

"Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended", he added.

It came the week Kardashian cut West from her surname on Instagram after legally changing her name.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 41, was declared legally single in the midst of her divorce from Ye, 44.

The makeup mogul showed support for her new SNL comedian beau when she liked a post from American filmmaker James Gunn defending him after the music video hit headlines.

"For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know. A truly generous, tender & funny spirit, he treats everyone around him with respect", he wrote on Twitter.
