Love Island star Ella Thomas is finally opening up about her short romance with fellow contestant Tyrique Hyde. The fashion model appeared on the ‘Saving Grace’ podcast where she explained it was tough “being someone’s first girlfriend.” Host GK Barry told Ella that she felt that she was too “mature” for Tyrique and that the pair were on “different paths.”
Ella explained: “I’m just the type of person like, I know how I want to be treated. Even when we are on the show, you didn’t see how close we are. We were so obsessed with each other and so loved up. Everything was going good. But when you come out of the house there’s so many things that come with being in a relationship. Obviously, I was his first girlfriend and being someone's first girlfriend is not easy. It’s so hard.” Which prompted GK to agree stating Tyrique needed a "lesson on how to act."
Ella, 23, and Tyrique were coupled up on the hit ITV2 show last year. The pair reached the final and were fan favourites. However, it was soon rumoured that they had split up after six months together. Tyrique deleted all traces of the Scottish beauty on Instagram while Ella had just two snaps of the footballer from last November, and one from August. Then, of course, the ultimate sign of a breakup - the couple unfollowed each other.
