A man has been charged with the murder of a mother and her two daughters in Nottingham.Fatoumatta Hydra, 28, and her daughters Fatimah, three, and Naeemah, one, died following a fire at their home in Clifton on Sunday. While her daughters were pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital, Fatoumatta sadly died on Tuesday morning after being on life support.
Her husband Aboubacarr Drammeh was not in the country at the time of the fire.Police say Jamie Barrow, 31, was charged on Thursday for their murder. In a statement,Assistant Chief Constable Rob Griffin, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Our thoughts remain with the family at this incredibly painful time, as well as the communities that have been affected by this most tragic of incidents.
"The grief this family has been put through is incomprehensible."He added: "Following those inquiries, we have charged a suspect with three counts of murder. "Speaking about his wife and children, MrDrammeh said on Wednesday: "It is with great sadness that we have lost Fatoumatta and our two daughters in such a tragic way."Fatoumatta had lived a short but very beautiful and fulfilling life.
A former voluntary worker, Fatoumatta was a very happy, bubbly woman."I and my in-laws are left without any daughters, grandchildren and nieces. I will deeply miss my family."Fatoumatta's uncle Dawda Dibba, also said: "We lost a beautiful, very, very beautiful soul.Fatoumatta is such an incredible person. She wouldn't even hurt a fly."She wouldn't hurt anyone in her life. It's really hard."
