Love Island 2024 winners Mimii and Josh have sparked split rumours after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on social media.

Gone are the days when people’s relationships could stay private, especially for those in the public sphere. But with influencers and TV stars, who they follow and don’t follow on Instagram is enough to start a trending conversation.

This is how rumours of Josh and Mimii’s split began circulating online. In this day and age, not following your significant other on a social app is understandably grounds for concern.

In addition to the two no longer supporting each other on Instagram, it had been a while since they were seen publicly together.

Quite uncommon for Love Island winners, as it’s become an unspoken tradition for the victorious love birds to parade around with one another at various engagements in an aim to increase exposure and secure the best brand deals together and individually.

Despite this, Josh and Mimii have been seen more apart than together.

Josh recently went viral while hanging out with Love Island USA winners Kordell and Serena. While a TikTok of Mimii and former cast member Tanya garnered much attention around the same time.

Interestingly, Tanya has also just broken up with her public boo, Shaq, who she had met on the dating show.

Now, Mimii has confirmed the breakup. Taking to her Instagram story, she wrote:

“Hi everyone, I know that a lot of you have been wondering about Josh and I and why we haven't been making appearances. The truth is we have been

trying to figure it out since leaving the villa, but unfortunately things aren't going to work out between us right now. I know it's a big disappointment for a lot of you as it is for me too, your support for us hasn't gone unnoticed and I will forever be grateful for it, you guys are the reason we made it to this point. God bless you all”

Josh has yet to make a statement.

The pair have always been understood to be private, and it’s unclear whether Mimii would have shared the news of the breakup had the rumours never started. Nevertheless, break-ups happen! And we wish them both luck in their journey to find love.
