A huge congratulations goes to football star Ollie Watkins after he proposed to girlfriend Ellie Alderson. The England striker got down on one knee in Italy on Monday. The 28-year-old has been in a relationship with interior designer Ellie, also 28, since 2018.

Ellie took to social media to share the exciting news with her almost 50,000 followers.  She gushed: “Special night in lake como withmy fiancé... ahhhh sooo happy.” The beauty wrote the caption alongside a series of romantic photos from their trip to Lake Como in Italy. In the first black-and-white picture, Ollie was down on one knee to Ellie.

In the second snap, the couple – who were in sync in matching white outfits - looked every bit in love. Ellie cradled her now-fiancé and stroked his face as she leant in for a kiss.

Ellie and Ollie welcomed their first child, Amara in September 2022. Their second son Marley was born in April last year. They live as a family in Birmingham. Ellie was amongst the wives and girlfriends who supported their partners in this year’s Euros. Unfortunately, England suffered heartbreak after losing 2-1 to Spain in the finals.
