A 19-year-old labelled the 'Brixton R Kelly' has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for a three-year spree of sexual violence. 

Kevarnie Queen, convicted in August on 22 counts of rape from 2019 to 2022, initiated these crimes at the age of 15. 

All victims were under 18, and one expressed in court how she suffered the loss of innocence, voice, and integrity due to Queen's actions.

Judge Usha Karu at Inner London Crown Court imposed a 16-year sentence on him, but the actual time served in custody will be a maximum of 12 years in a young offenders' institution, with the remainder under supervision on licence.

Queen met all the complainants, except one, via Snapchat, where he would 'flatter and groom them' before organising in-person meetings, as outlined by the Crown Prosecution Service. 

Described as a 'prolific sexual predator' by the CPS, he showed 'no regard for his victims.' 

Arrested in April 2020 and later in June and August 2022 on suspicion of multiple rape counts, he denied the allegations, asserting that the women were 'all lying' and involved in a 'hate campaign' against him.

Laura Devitt, Senior Crown Prosecutor from the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit in London South, commended the ‘brave’ young women for being able to come forward and made a damning statement on the convicted teenager. 

Devitt stated - said: ‘Queen has clearly demonstrated he saw these young girls’ existence purely for his own satisfaction.

‘Queen claimed he was a “player” and knew how to make girls like him and that any activity was consensual.

‘His misogynistic and deplorable actions have now been exposed for what they are, and these convictions ensure no further women are caused further irreparable harm at his hands.’
