TSB ASKS - WHAT WILL YOU BE TUNING INTO THIS SUMMER - EUROS OR LOVE ISLAND?

Residents, Picture the Scenery: Sun, Ice-Cold Drinks, Love Island, and the Euros!

The sun is baking down, an ice-cold drink is placed in front of you, and the UK is once again united in our love for television. Yes, it’s that season where Love Island and the Euros overlap, creating the best vibes both outside and inside.

England’s hopes of finally bringing it home feel are finally within reach this summer with a stacked team of Galacticos. Notable names such as Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Champions League winner Jude Bellingham, Premier League winner Phil Foden, and PFA Young Player of the Year Cole Palmer are all on track for making the full squad.

Gareth Southgate recently named his training squad for Euro 2024 after controversially cutting Marcus Rashford, Jordan Henderson, and Ben Chilwell from his plans, selecting an initial 33-man group.

England claimed victory in the 1966 FIFA World Cup final on their home turf, joining the exclusive group of eight nations to have won the tournament. They have participated in the World Cup sixteen times, achieving fourth-place finishes in both the 1990 and 2018 editions. Despite their success in the World Cup, England has yet to win the European Championship, with their best performance being runners-up in 2020.

Euro 2024 kicks off on Friday, June 14, when Germany takes on Scotland in Munich in the opening match. England plays Serbia the following night, followed by games against fellow Group C opponents Denmark and Slovenia. See the full provisional squad below -

Now, onto the show for the ‘Real Lovers.’ The hit reality dating show makes its return to our screens with its 11th season, and fans could not be happier.

When taking to our Instagram to ask our Residents which they would prefer, we received a variety of answers. Some couldn’t wait to guiltily get stuck into some reality TV, with one Resident saying, “And if I say Love Island… *Runs Away*”

Another kept it plain and simple, stating they would be too spoiled for choice if they had to pick one, so they said, “Boffum.”

However, it seems as though the Euros have taken the hearts of the comment section in this post, as the majority of users backed The Euros on this occasion.
