#TSB EDITION: CELEBRITY COUPLES WE DIDN'T SEE COMING

Residents, most of the time we can see a celebrity couple brewing as soon as they both follow each other on socials. In this Love Island era it sometimes feels as though we can tell which public figures will end up together before they know it themselves.

However, every once in a while a romance kindles that makes us say ‘huh? How did those two get together?’ It’s even more shocking when your favourite local British celebs somehow ends up as half of a Hollywood ‘It couple’. Here’s our list of celebrity couples we did not see coming!

  1. Spice Girls star Mel B shocked both Britain and the world when she got with the world renowned Actor-Comedian Eddie Murphy. Murphy, who was 15-years her senior, met Mel B in 2006 and the two began a whirlwind romance which resulted in a child. The relationship ended in a very public paternity battle after Eddie did not accept he was the father of their daughter - DNA disproved this and Eddie was ordered to pay approximately £31, 569 per month in child support.

  1. Whilst many speculated for many years that Prince Harry, alike his iconic mother, might be partial to a swirl-romance - most still didn’t predict this revolutionary relationship would rock the royal family and the world so significantly. Prince Harry and Meghan have been together since 2016, when they were set up on a blind date by a friend. One royal wedding, two children and many media frenzies later, the couple remain happily married.

  1. British Raptress SteffLon Don is undoubtedly more known for her high-profile relationship with African-Fusion star Burna Boy - but residents, did you know that she once had a relationship with South London rapper Fekky? The pair apparently dated between 2016 and 2018.

  1. You may remember the singer Sinitta Malone from her appearances on X Factor, I’m a Celeb or her high-profile relationship with Simon Cowell. However, did you know Sinitta and Brad Pitt had a fling in their younger days? The pair reportedly dated from 1986 to 1988, as Sinitta told her I’m a Celeb cast mates, Pitt was "beautiful with the most amazing body… I saw him for two years”.

5. Now we don’t mean to destroy anyone’s dollhouse but Ben Simmons and Maya Jama’s relationship was as shocking as they come. The pair dated

in 2021 after Maya’s very public break-up from rapper Stormzy. The two were even engaged for a reported 8 months before calling it quits

6. Grammy-winner Harry Styles, who got his start on X Factor not only made it all the way to the peak of the music industry but he also dated one

of the worlds biggest pop stars, Taylor Swift. The pair dated between 2012 and 2013.

7. Peckham-born actor Damson Idris had already broke Hollywood after his career-changing role on Snowfall - however he shocked us all again when he was first romantically linked to one of Hollywood's most coveted starlets, Lori Harvey. The pairs relationship status is murky at times, but they first made their relationship publicly official in January 2023.

  1. Sophie Turner, made a name for herself portraying Sansa Stark in the hit TV show 'Game of Thrones'. I don't think many of us could have predicted that this independent queen would have made her way to the states and sparked a romance with teen heartthrob Joe Jonas. Joe Jonas and his famous brothers have been known for shocking the world with their beautiful international women and in this case the pair even went on to start a family, before their whirlwind romance sadly ended in divorce
