At the time this viral video was released, influencer and BLCKCHAT cast member Lani Good was well known for her controversial opinions and delivery. In a YouTube video entitled ‘Smash or Pass’, Lani and a collective of her friends discuss whether they would be willing to ‘smash’ different celebrities and popular influencers. Understandably, the video received a lot of backlash by those who were judged such as presenter Nella Rose, who responded via her Instagram "Loooooooooooool nah Lani gathered 30 secondary school children to come and create bad content on her channel". Lani then released the now infamous video to issue to the following statement:
‘let me make something very mother f***ing clear… I'm sitting on a bad boy piece of information, do you understand? A bad boy piece of f***ing information. Do you think I give a f**k about this f***ing smash or pass game, I'm sitting on a bad boy piece of information."
It turns out the 'bad boy piece of information' was that her famous ex Tion Wayne had swindled her out of £8k
When drill rapper Ivorian Doll performed her Daily Duppy on GRM Daily’s famous platform, no rapper nor influencer were safe from her slew of disses. One influencer that she clearly offended was her former ‘friend’ Miss R Fabulous, who responded with her own diss track ‘Homerton Thot’. However on the night that gave birth to the infamous high-pitched video, IVD went live on Snapchat and told followers how people don’t have the guts to say anything to her face, seemingly referencing her new frenemy Renee, before taunting further by giving out the address of her location. Miss R Fabulous responded by leaving her home in pyjamas and showing up at the location IVD gave whilst calling for her by her government name ‘Vanessa!’ and claiming to have beaten up IVD's friend.
After social media personality Jayde V released the now famous snapchat selfie with her ‘friend’ Whitney’s ‘man’ lying naked in the background, social media had a lot to say. The self-explanatory photo was ruthlessly captioned ‘Whitney come and collect your man x’. Some reports stated Jayde V had allegedly threatened to sleep with Whitney’s boyfriend in the past and had posted her conquest.
After Corville Cuffy went viral for dancing to the BBC News theme song in Leicester Square, the BBC invited him to perform on BBC News for real and he gave an absolutely unforgettable performance.
When a young woman walks into a pharmacy to confront an African pharmacist who was allegedly having an affair with her father, the woman is left dumbfounded when she is asked the very direct question ‘Did you Have sex with my dad?’. The woman goes on to emotionally tell her that her ‘mum respected’ the woman before becoming irate. The video sparked a huge conversation about the ‘aunties’ actions and the young woman's fierce defence of her mother.
When Croydon-based singer Osh was 23-years old, he didn't anticipate that his cover of Burna Boy's 'ye' would become a viral hit that would leave him as an infamous meme to this day. In the iconic performance, Osh is filmed on a handheld camera whilst he delivers his original line 'dripping in sauce... the drip is so saucy'.
Oh and who could forget Dominic Celaire's New Years Night of Shame. After a picture, seemingly snapped by a bystander made its rounds on social media the pair were understandably quiet. The picture which has now been turned into a viral meme, showcased Celaire going down on a female on a stair case. The picture resurfaces every New Years as a reminder of the risks or perhaps some might say rewards of a drunken New Years encounter.
