Two Women Sexually Assaulted in Queue to See Queen's Lying in State

Two women were sexually assaulted in the queue to see the Queen's lying in state.

Adio Adeshine, a 19 year old man, is said to have exposed himself and then pushed into other mourners from behind. It's been reported that he went into the River Thames to try and evade police officers, but eventually came out and was arrested.

Adeshine was remanded into custody on Friday after appearing in Westminster Magistrates' Court and being charged with two counts of 'sexual assault' and two counts of 'breaching a sexual harm prevention order'.The court heard the first victim allegedly noticed him because she hadn't previously seen him, despite her having waited in the queue with the same group of people for hours. She saw him getting closer to her and then suddenly felt something touching her back. After turning around to see what was going on, she noticed that he had exposed himself.

The woman later said that she saw Mr Adeshine acting in a similar manner towards another woman, all before security were alerted and police called to the scene. He is said to have thrown his phone into the Thames before entering the water himself, but was then arrested shortly after coming out of the river by MET police.Outlining the allegations, prosecutor Alex Adowale said: "The defendant was part of the queue to see the resting in state of Queen Elizabeth II."All victims were among the thousands of people who have been lining the banks of the Thames to view the Queen's coffin, from early hours in the morning to late evening.
