POTTER PAYPER ACCUSES DRAKE OF 'MESSAGING YOUNG GIRLS IN ENGLAND'

A video has recently resurfaced of UK rapper Potter Payper calling out Drake for messaging 'young girls in England', amidst Drake’s ongoing rap feud with Kendrick Lamar (Rick Ross, ASAP Rocky, Future and more).

A video has recently resurfaced of UK rapper Potter Payper calling out Drake, amidst Drake’s ongoing rap feud with Kendrick Lamar (Rick Ross, Asap Rocky, Future and more). The Barking-born star has globalised his appeal in recent years, particularly after securing his first UK top 40 single with his hit ‘Gangsteritus’. However, many fans will know Potter Payper from his successful come-up, which included a range of freestyles on platforms such as BlackBox and those who are familiar with those freestyles know that the rapper doesn't mince his words.

In October 2023, during a sit-down interview with the podcast platform ‘More Than Barz’, Potter responded to questions about Drake by saying ‘Drake don’t like me’. Potter goes on to add that the pair have never explicitly had any kind of altercation, saying ‘we ain’t got no isms and schisms’.

However Potter explains that he believes the reason for Drake not liking him may be that he is friends with some of Potter Payper's opponents, as Potter tells listeners that Drake ‘fxxcks with the pagans’.

Some fans speculated that one such ‘pagan’ could be popular UK rapper J Hus and/or his affiliates, particularly after Potter goes on to make what seems to be a comically veiled threat towards Drake, by saying ‘who told you bad man don’t dance?’ (the title line of J Hus and Drake’s infamous collab which appears on Hus’ latest album).

Whilst both J Hus and Potter Payper remain amongst the top contenders for best UK rapper, it seems affiliations with rival gangs and locations, such as Custom House (where Potter’s friend and fellow rapper Mover hails from) have caused an unbridgeable divide between the talented rappers. It seems rapper Drake has chosen his side, and as Potter tells it, after the Canadian star left Potter’s DM’s unanswered when he requested that he repost his album, whilst dishing out a hit for Hus’, that side appears to be that of Stratford hitmaker J Hus.

Perhaps the most damning and notable accusation made against Drake in Potter’s interview, is Potter’s allegation that the OVO boss messages ‘bare young girls in England’. The resurface of Potter’s 2023 interview comes amidst Drakes ongoing rap war with Kendrick Lamar, who made similar allegations against the star.

In Kendrick’s newest diss track ‘Not Like Us’, Kendrick once again alleges Drake’s sexual indiscretions, accusing him of liking ‘young’ girls and even explicitly referring to Drake and several members of his camp as ‘certified pedophiles’. Whilst it's still unclear if any of these allegations hold weight, Potter making the same allegations as Kendrick in an entirely different context (and country) has caused more Drake fans to question if there can really be this much smoke without a fire.

Drake vehemently denies these allegations in his latest track ‘The Heart Part 6’, claiming that due to his level of fame, he would have been ‘arrested’, if these accusations were true. Either way this ongoing rap war has pulled in rappers from New York, California, Mississippi, Canada and beyond and could now see Barking’s finest pulled in.

What do you think Residents, could Potter be the next to battle rap on the front lines?
