Popeyes', the Chicken Sandwich that went viral back in 2019, will be coming to the UK by the end of this year.

On Tuesday, Popeye's announced that it will be launching in the UK this year. It was also revealed that there is a further European Extension Plan to open multiple chains within Europe over the next few years.

Other Fast Food brands such as Chick-Fil-A and Wendy's joined the madness to see who could create the best Chicken Sandwich.Many referred to this as the 'Chicken Sandwich Wars' and the rise in popularity caused shortages in food at some branches, as well as long queues.Popeyes was founded in New Orleans in 1972, and they are well known for their Louisiana Style food, which usually consists of staples such as chicken tenders and fried shrimp.Their famous 'Chicken Sandwich consists of 'southern style' chicken, pickles and regular or spicy mayo.Residents, will you be making a trip to Popeyes when they're open?
