The globally renowned Nigerian artist Davido is no stranger to negative press when it comes to his marriage. This week, Davido has found himself in yet another marital scandal alleging his infidelity to his wife, Chef and Influencer Chioma Rowland.

This time the scandal begins with US Body model Bonita Maria L., who posted a screenshot of her iPhone homepage exposing a picture of the ‘Unavalaible’ singer. In the screenshot image Davido can be seen in what appears to be a bathroom, holding a mystery woman from behind and kissing her head. Online spectators were quick to draw conclusions as the image became a hot topic of discussion on social media. Most fans were quick to believe the rumours that Davido was unfaithful, particularly in light of Anita Brown's allegation that she was pregnant by the artist just last year. 

Many viewers wrongly assumed that Bonita Maria was the mystery woman in the photo and hounded her with abuse until US model Gorgeous Doll took to Tik Tok to tell her version of events. In the ten minute video, Gorgeous Doll told viewers that it was her in the now viral photo and that Bonita had never met him, which Bonita confirmed in the following statement to her Instagram: 

‘I was trolling this Davido situation has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with me and I do not know him at all, never met him you guys were harassing me so I gave y'all something to see’. 

Part of that ‘trolling’ involved Bonita leaking a short clip which appears to show the artist desperately pleading on his knees, mockingly captioned ‘This who y’all attacking me over?’ 

The self-professed stylist Gorgeous Doll goes on to describe her relationship with Davido as strictly professional and claims she would style him occasionally. Doll claimed she ‘did not know’ that Davido was married but does admit to sharing the highly viewed snippet of Davido pleading, to her private group chat because she thought that a ‘dramatic’ Davido was ‘funny’ at the time.

Many fans have speculated on what Davido was pleading for in the video, theories range from ‘his wife’s forgiveness’ to ‘the company of Gorgeous Doll herself’ - however Gorgeous Doll refused to discuss the video in detail.
