Wireless Festival Returns with More Changes in 2022

Wireless Festival returns this year with more changes to tradition, having announced three separate venues where the acts will perform.

This summer, two London venues - Crystal Palace and Finsbury Park - will host a range of performances whilst the rest of the event will take place in Birmingham, at the NEC.

The festival, owned and run by Live Nation, has recently been focused on securing large hip-hop and R&B headliners - managing to book the likes of Jay-Z, Ye, and Rihanna.

This year, A$AP Rocky, J Cole and Lil Uzi Vert are amongst some of the most anticipated of the Male portion. Meanwhile, Summer Walker and Burna Boy fans have the chance of experiencing their favourite artist live and local.

Regarding organisation, Seven 'Headliners' will be spread across the three different locations. These seven are: A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Tyler the Creator, Dave, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and SZA.

The festival is scheduled to run from July 1st through to the 11th.

A new partnership has been made between the festival and Radio 1Xtra as their DJs will host Wireless stages and provide live sets. Additionally, Wireless have said they will also be live broadcasting and backstage interviews exclusive to the company.

Performances will be running at the same time at the Finsbury Park and Birmingham NEC venue whilst acts are held a week prior in Crystal Palace Park. According to the BBC, the NEC was previously used to host the festival back in 2014.
