Former footballer and reality TV star Ashley Cain has shared the joyous news of the birth of his baby son, Aliyas Diamond Cain, marking a poignant moment two years after the heartbreaking loss of his daughter Azaylia. In a heartfelt Instagram post, he celebrated the arrival of his newborn while paying a touching tribute to his late daughter.

Sharing a picture of Aliyas, born on January 16, 2024, at 4:32 am, weighing 9lbs 3oz, Cain expressed his profound love and commitment to his son. He chose to honour Azaylia by giving Aliyas the middle name Diamond, the same middle name as his departed daughter.

Cain's emotional post read, "I will love you, appreciate you, guide you and protect you with all of my heart, for the rest of my life. And you will have the most beautiful guardian angel heaven holds watching over you and protecting you too. Welcome to the world, my son. May your body be strong, your mind be wise, your heart be loving, and your spirit be pure and truly powerful."

The former footballer, known for his contributions to clubs like Coventry City, Luton, Oxford United, and Mansfield Town, rose to fame as a reality TV star on MTV's Ex on the Beach. The journey for Cain and his ex-partner Safiyya Vorajee has been marked by tragedy, losing Azaylia at the tender age of eight months.

In their relentless pursuit to save Azaylia, the couple raised over £1.6 million for specialised treatment in Singapore, tragically unable to materialise due to her deteriorating health. In May 2021, Ashley and Safiyya announced the establishment of The Azaylia Foundation, a charitable endeavour dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer.
