The drill rapper, son of Mark Duggan has pleaded guilty to possessing a semi-automatic pistol and 22 rounds of ammunition, but denies the charge of possessing the weapon with intent to endanger life.
Kemani Duggan, who performs under the name Bandokay, had been arrested at Gatwick Airport on January 13, this year. He appeared at Wood Green Crown Court via video-link from HMP Thameside on Wednesday, where he pleaded guilty to possessing a 7.62mm Tokarev calibre Zastava Arms model M57 self-loading pistol.
The 22-year-old also confessed to possessing ammunition without a firearm certificate with 22 bulleted cartridges between 19 February 2023 and 21 March 2023.
Reports claimed that he appeared relaxed as he appeared before the court in a blue prison issue tracksuit, denied the more serious charges of possessing the weapon and ammunition with intent to endanger life.
Kemani has now been remanded in custody ahead of his trial on July 1 at Wood Green Crown Court. The trial is expected to last between 7 and 10 days and it is said he could face up to 10 years in prison.
