In an exclusive with Hello! Magazine, Oritse Williams announced his engagement to his partner, Kazz Kumar, after he proposed in Wales.
The JLS singer, who is 35 years old, revealed that he staged a ruse for the proposal in October, while on tour with his bandmates. His now fiancee, who is 37 years old, was whisked to a hotel in Wales for a Valentine-themed photoshoot with a Harley Davidson. The photoshoot was just for the couple.
Williams said: "I went all in. I commissioned photographers, videographers and made up a timesheet and moodboards. Harley-Davidson were in on it too and provided the bikes and jackets and lanyards."
Not content with a unique proposal, he also had a "one-in-a-universe" custom-made ring, with a pink sapphire flown in from Sri Lanka for the engagement ring.
They already have plans in place for the big day, promising "good food, good music, good vibes and a great time", with entertainment courtesy of his bandmates – Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and JB Gill. Williams said of his bandmate's reactions: "The boys are over the moon for both of us. They're a big part of my family – and now Kazz's family. They've got to bring some entertainment to the table."
Oritse and Kazz started dating just before lockdown last year and first met on social media. They made their relationship public soon after.
