Laura Whitmore Quits As Love Island Host After Three Years

Laura Whitmore has today announced that she will no longer be hosting love island in her latest Instagram post.In her statement, she says: "There are certain elements of the show I've found very difficult that cannot be changed, along with my new conflicting projects. I wish it was still possible, but you'll be in safe hands." The presenter, who is originally from Ireland, joined Love Island a few years ago back in 2020 and became the show's host for the past three years. She followed on and took hosting duties from the late Caroline Flack.

Her full statement on her Instagram reads as follows:' Some news! I won't be hosting the next series of Love Island. There are certain elements of the show I've found very difficult that cannot be changed due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects. I wish it was still possible but know you'll be in safe hands. I was only planning to fill in for Caroline for a series and it turned into 3 series. I hope I did you proud Caroline ❤️'

After many rumours on social media, many people are touted to possibly be in the talent pool to be the new host, but we will have to wait and see who prevails and becomes the newest love island star host.
