Man Charged After 'Trying To Kidnap Teen From Essex Street'

A man who allegedly attempted to kidnap a young teenage girl from an Essex residential street will appear in magistrates court tomorrow.The man in question is Luis Palma, aged 29.

He is accused of sexual assault along with kidnapping and also possession of cannabis after the incident in Harlow during daylight hours on Wednesday.Fortunately, the young girl managed to free herself and escape, she was not physically harmed.

Mr Luis Palma will appear at Colchester magistrates' court tomorrow.The girl was able to get away unharmed and safe soon after the incident. She and her family are being supported by the correct teams.

Temporary Chief Inspector Terry Fisher claimed that many cases like this are extremely rare and is thought to be an isolated incident with no external leads to other illicit activityIt has been announced that high visibility patrols have been taking place in the area since the incident, and will continue so for the coming days following Palma's arrest early on Friday morning
