RAPPER TUNDE ASKS FOLLOWERS TO KEEP HIM IN THEIR PRAYERS AS HE APPEARS IN COURT OVER SHOOTING ALLEGATIONS

After being released on bail, Manchester rapper, Tunde known for his UK charting debut album "Victory lap" has appeared on social media asking fans to pray for him as he appears in court for firearm possession and shooting charges.

In a photo posted to his Instagram story, Tunde posted a photo of himself dressed in a black suit captioned, "Trial is here... pray for me".

Olu Tunde Finni, commonly known by his stage name Tunde was accused of arranging a revenge shooting after his ex-girlfriend's car was bricked by an unknown gunman back in September, 2020.

Prosecutors at the Manchester crown court, although unable to say who the man firing the gun was, claimed that Tunde was involved in arranging the shooting. They added that he was "motivated by revenger after what happened to his partner's car". In his defense, Tunde's lawyer's claimed the shooting was a case of mistaken identity and added that no one was hurt in the incident.

However, the prosecutors further pointed to the presence of Tunde's DNA on a bullet casing found at the scene of the shooting - and the fact that some of his family moved after the incident, which to them, signals that Mr. Tunde was afraid of a retaliatory attack. They also added that rap lyrics penned by Tunde showed that he had knowledge of "what was going on" at the time.

Tunde was enjoying a fast rising rap career, having worked with the likes of Aitch and released a UK top charting album without label backing

Currently, the official charge against Tunde, according to his manager is "possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life". If found guilty, the fast rising Manchester rapper could find himself spending up to 14 years in prison.

Before the incident, Tunde was enjoying a fast rising rap career, having worked and performed with famous UK rappers such as Aitch. However, management claims the rapper is allegedly being framed in this case, and thus we can only say he is innocent until proven guilty.
