THE BEST UK DISS TRACKS OF ALL TIME

Don't let these American rappers fool you. Us Brits can write the most epic of rap battles - plus we can do with the rain beating down on our heads and a bacon bap in our bellies!

1. P Money Vs Dot Rotten

Back in 2017, rapper P Money got into a bruising battle with long time frenemy Dot Rotten. As some grime fans may know, Dot Rotten was part of P Money’s collective "OGz" back in the day. But a bitter falling out between the two saw Dot leave the group. After leaving O.Gz, Dot had allegedly made a diss track for that he allegedly tried to hide from him. But he soon made his feelings known in a Fire In The Booth session where he bluntly rapped: “I got P Money hating on me/ I’m stating it, f*** Him.” It prompted Dot Rotten to release the track ‘Liars In The Booth’ with bars like: “Since you’ve been on your own you’ve been trash. Couldn’t get your own set, your dreams are whack.”

  1. Chip Vs Everybody

Who could forget when rapper Chip dropped “96 Bars of Revenge?” The powerful song came for some of the biggest names in grime music. Chip blasted Tinie Tempah, Big Narstie and Bugzy Malone to name just a few. The beef stemmed back to a Tinie Tempah Fire in the Booth session in 2014. Tinie rapped some thinly veiled references to his former friend. A year later, Chip responded during his own Fire in the Booth - cutting the beat and going on an passionate, spoken rant about how Tinie had "broken [his] heart". Bugzy Malone retaliated with the track "Relegation Diss." But the pair managed to squash their beef in 2017 and posed together on the 'Gram.

  1. Stormzy Vs Wiley

Perhaps the most mainstream diss track came when the two heavyweights of the genre Stormzy and Wiley go into it. On Stormzy's song "Disappointed", he branded Wiley a "crackhead c***." This came after Wiley said Stormzy was 'worse than Ed Sheeran' on his own song, "Eediyat Skengman". In response, Wiley released the single "Eediyat Skengman 2" which sees the rapper take aim at Stormzy's beloved mother.
