Data from World Population Review ranked the world’s most promiscuous nations and found that people from Turkey had the most sexual partners on average. The data suggest that the average Turk has bedded more than 14 people, stats which somewhat seem to contradict the country’s Islamic practices - 99% of Turks are Muslim.
The UK came in a lowly 21st, with Brits having an average of 9.8 sexual partners throughout their lifetimes - despite what the average UK rapper may suggest. The UK are amongst other western countries with liberal sexual views and laxed legislation that ranked surprisingly low on the list.
The US and Canada tied at 12th/13th with a modest average of 10.7 sexual partnerseach. On the other hand, Ireland soared to the 11th spot with an average of 11.1 sexual partner per Irish(wo)man - not surprising from a country that was ranked the second most sex obsessed country in the world by the Global Sex Index.
The study analysed data taken from across the globe and ranked 46 countries in total - the last of them was India, with a low 3 sexual partners per person. Even taking one-night stand culture out of the equation, this was shockingly low and in stark contrast to stats seen In Australia (13.3) and New Zealand (13.2). Some suggestions cite India's tendency to follow traditional practices such as no premarital sex and arranged marriages as the reason.
Residents, 14.5 per person or 3.2, we hope it’s safe.
