Two women were taken to hospital after crashing into the side of Shannons's Pub on Bordesley Green in Birmingham.
At 12:30am on Tuesday, two women crashed a Fiat 500 hatchback into Shannon's Pub on Bordesley Green in Birmingham.The front-end of the car went into the pub, demolishing a wall and smashing a plate glass window.The pub was closed at this time and no one was inside the building.After the incident the emergency services were called.
They found the two women who had been inside the car and assessed them. Luckily for the two women they only suffered minor injuries at the scene.The crew of West Midlands Fire Service's Highgate commented: "We often attend incidents where a slight change in circumstance such as direction or time could've resulted in tragedy."This #RTC in #BordesleyGreen today was one of those."Luckily, the pub was closed and the two women from the car suffered only minor injuries." After two fire crews were sent to the scene after a 999 call at 12:50am, the building was made safe and left in the hands of the police just after 2am.
