Despite the many ‘Rich Lists’ that are circulating both in Britain and internationally each year, none have yet been devised to showcase the growing wealth and success of black British women. Here’s our list of some of Britain’s most inspiring black women who have amassed an incredible amount of wealth!

Northampton-born McGrath is the founder of beauty products company, Pat McGrath Labs, which she launched in 2015 and is now valued at nearly £800 million ($1 billion). She has been named the most influential make-up artist in the world by Vogue magazine and is the first ever make-up artist to be made a Dame Commander of the British Empire.

Fintech entrepreneur Valerie Moran was the only black woman ranked in the top 1,000 super-wealthy people on The Sunday Times' annual Rich List (2019). Moran, who started her business with her husband from their flat in Paddington, is jointly worth an estimated £122 million ($158.6 million) alongside him, ranking them as the joint 970th richest people in Britain.
Moran herself holds a 16.3% stake in their fintech organisation, which specialises in financial technology.
£1 billion - £1.4 billion
The Bajen-born Pop star and businesswoman launched her Fenty cosmetics company in 2017 and quickly became prominent as one of the world's wealthiest musicians. However, it was her move to London between 2018 - 2020 (on an £18,000 a week lease!) that made her eligible to enter the Sunday Times UK Rich List musician category at No 3.

Born in Merton and raised in Lewisham, Malorie Blackman is one of Britain's most loved and highest-selling children's authors. On her journey to becoming published, Blackman was rejected countless times but vowed not to stop unless she received 1000 rejections. She has now sold millions of copies of her books worldwide and is nothing short of a household name and a black British inspiration story. Though she has remained private about her wealth, her net worth is estimated to be over £10 million.

Lambeth-born Naomi Campbell, needs little introduction, having started her career at only 8 years old, Campbell has broken boundaries for black models as the first black woman to appear as a model on the covers of Time, Vogue France and more.

DJ and entrepreneur, Otedola, relocated to London from Nigeria as a teenager. Although her own individual endeavours are estimated to have made her just shy of an impressive £1 million, it is her father's considerable wealth which lands her on our list. Her father, Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Olufemi Peter Otedola boasts a net worth of over £1 billion as the founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd and the owner of several other businesses across shipping, real estate and finance.
