Presenter Zeze Millz has been going back and forth with Twitter users after she publicly showed support for singer Cassie, following the footage released of her being assaulted by her ex-partner and disgraced music mogul, Diddy.
Social media has been in a frenzy following CNN's leaked footage of Sean 'Diddy' Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Fine (FKA Cassie Ventura) in the corridor of a hotel.
Presenter Zeze Mills was one of many to react to the footage, branding it "disturbing", and questioning Diddy's integrity as a father of two daughters.
Zeze went on to Tweet that Cassie's husband, Alex Fine, "saved" her from her turbulent relationship with the self-confessed "bad boy", having been a personal trainer to both Diddy and Cassie herself.
However, Twitter users were quick to call out Zeze for her interview with Diddy, alongside David Whitely, in November last year, with one user tweeting "Ermmm Ain't this you ?????" accompanied by a video of Zeze gushing over Diddy and revealing he was her "fake boyfriend" when she was younger.
Zeze was quick to defend herself against the criticism, replying with: "I see what you tried to do here. But I would hope if anything this shows my integrity. Yes! Once a upon a time this was true. Now, I don’t. And I have no problem calling out behaviour that I don’t condone even if at one time I did like you. Keep this same energy with everyone."
Millz took ownership of her interview with Diddy, whilst also reminding the commenter that her ability to condemn Diddy's actions is representative of her integrity.
Zeze then expressed her frustrations on social media users "misinterpreting" her tweets, stating: "Some of you will literally go out of your way to mis interpret what I say. It’s so weird. And actual very draining. Go somewhere else please."
She continued: "A lot of domestic abuse victims do not have the courage to leave straight away. After years of emotional, physiological and physical abuse. It often takes someone they feel that can trust to help them leave. This is not the time to make it a gender war. Thank you."
In a final Tweet concluding the discussion, she said: "This app is insufferable. MY JOB IS TO INTERVIEW PEOPLE. I’m employed by companies/platforms to interview people. Thank you. Goodnight x"
