Rapper Lady Leshurr has been found not guilty of assaulting her ex-Girlfriend’s partner.

The 35-year-old rapper was accused of attacking and biting Chante Boyea on 22 October 2022.Birmingham rapper Melesha O’Garro, known professionally as Lady Leshurr, has been found not guilty of assaulting her ex-girlfriend’s then-partner, Chante Boyea.

The incident took place just after 5 a.m. on 22 October 2022, where Boyea accused O’Garro of assaulting her and biting her hand so hard that she suffered “nerve damage”.A jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court in East London found O’Garro not guilty of the assault on Wednesday.

Following the verdict, O’Garro has since posted a video on Instagram, in which she said:

“For the past year, I've been battling a court case from people that accused me of stalking, harassing, and biting them but I was the victim."

"I was attacked and bitten by a dog and made out to be the aggressor. For a whole year people have deserted me, dropped me from deals, and didn't want to work with me anymore. For a whole year I have had no income."

"Today has been judgement day. I'm shaking whilst I write this. My career has been ruined regardless no matter the outcome, but at least I have a clean record and can finally get on with my life."

The rapper then went on to upload an Instagram photo where she can be seen posing with two of her lawyers and thanked them for help with the not guilty outcome.

Very soon after the verdict, Lady Leshurr shared a picture of her new tatoo which reads, “JUSTICE” followed by the date “22.10.22”, to celebrate the outcome of the court case.

Some social media users have since questioned the rapper's decision to use the date of the alleged attack against Chante Boyea on her tattoo as opposed to the date of her verdict.

An Instagram account allegeded to belong to Boyea's mother, claims the use of that date is evidence that Leshurr felt she recieved personal justice on the day of the incident.
